Amplifying Indigenous Voices with King County Elections

As the Director of Photography for the King County Elections campaign, working alongside Creative Director Tracy Rector, I got a chance to contribute to something truly meaningful. We focused on motivating the Indigenous community in King County to vote, a crucial and timely initiative. Filming with IXTLIXOCHITL SALINAS-WHITE HAWK and her family was an incredible experience. Their story, culminating in the powerful phrase, 'If you don't vote, we stay silent,' really drives home the importance of every vote. Using the Canon C300ii, we captured this narrative in a way that I believe speaks directly and authentically to the audience. I’m deeply grateful for having had the opportunity to be a part of this project. It was not just a job, but a chance to make a difference, to amplify voices that need to be heard, especially in the context of voting and civic engagement. The video link
