Comedy Central's 'State of the Union' Spoof with Rep. Pramila Jayapal

SEATTLE January 30th, 2018, 

I was behind the lens as Cinematographer for a cheeky Comedy Central segment. Director Zach Goldbaum envisioned a satirical take on the State of the Union with Representative Pramila Jayapal, who had notably boycotted the actual event. Our compact crew sprang into action in Jayapal’s Seattle office, transforming it into a mock-up of the Capitol with life-size puppets of key political figures. The FS7s were rolling as we, the crew, occasionally jumped into the shot, adding to the satire. The end product? A dash of political comedy gold.
